HRC 25/23 - Continuing deterioration of human rights in Syria

The continuing grave deterioration of the human rights and humanitarian situation in the Syrian Arab Republic

adopted on 28 March 2014

With this resolution, the Human Rights Council condemned the use of chemical weapons and the use of starvation of civilians as a method of combat, as well as the continued gross, systematic and widespread violations of human rights and violations of international humanitarian law. It called upon all groups to refrain from violence and demanded that they demilitarize civilian objects. The Council also extended the mandate of the commission of inquiry, and urged Syria to fully cooperate with it.
