HRC 25/28 - Israeli Settlements

Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and in the occupied Syrian Golan

adopted on 28 March 2014

With this resolution, the Human Rights Council reaffirmed the illegality of the Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and the occupied Syrian Golan, and demanded that Israel immediately cease all of its settlement activities. It also called upon Israel to put an end to the human rights violations linked to the presence of settlements, especially of the right to self-determination, and to take measures to prohibit all policies or practices that discriminate against and disproportionately affect the Palestinian population. Lastly, the Council requested the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to present a report on the implementation of the recommendations of the fact-finding mission on the Israeli settlements to the Human Rights Council at its 28th session.
