Mauritania voted in favor of most of the resolutions on the situation in Syria
and the 2012 resolution on Iran, it voted against the two resolutions that were
adopted on Sri Lanka. Mauritania also voted against amendments that would have
improved the Libya resolution and regrettably abstained on the creation of a
Special Rapporteur mandate on Belarus, as well as the 2013 resolution renewing
the mandate of the Special Rapporteur on Iran.
